Stiftung Warentest rated Lupilu Softi "satisfactory" to "good" — weaker than Pampers Premium Protection but on par with babylove and Babydream. Older Öko-Test rounds flagged trace formaldehyde; recent 2024/2025 batches are clean. For everyday use Lupilu is fully sufficient; for very heavy overnight wetters many parents combine it with a premium diaper as night diaper.
Lupilu covers size 1 (Newborn, 2–5 kg) through size 6 (16+ kg). The most common pack is the jumbo box with 60–102 diapers depending on size. Pants come in sizes 4, 5 and 6 under "Lupilu Pants". Sizes run slightly smaller than Pampers — if in doubt, size up when your baby is at the top of the weight range.
The three big drugstore/discounter store brands sit very close on price. Lupilu (Lidl) is typically the price leader at ~0.09–0.14 € per piece when available. babylove (dm) and Babydream (Rossmann) follow at 0.11–0.17 € per piece but are stocked year-round and orderable online. Quality: all three land in the same "good" tier in independent tests. If planning matters to you, choose babylove or Babydream — Lupilu is a "grab it while it's there" purchase.
Lupilu diapers are currently not stocked in the Lidl online shop and not on Amazon. A few third-party sellers list overpriced remnants — rarely worth it. The reliable path is the weekly Lidl leaflet (linked in our deals overview) or a visit to the store.
